What goes up must come down, as newton's law dictates. Yes, it's actually quite natural, one of the many rules of this world. Which is why, when something shows up that actually goes against what this law dictates it's quite weird, visually at least. There it was, a young girl floating into the air. A strange black coating covered her body, as it seemed to suck in the very air itself. Though, it only looked like that at first. After a few seconds, she seemingly dropped, wobbling as she landed. "... I really can't move when I activate it. How bothersome." She murmured. Was she practising something? This Mashiro Kuuki? The girl that finds everything bothersome? ... Is it going to snow tomorrow? Hast hell frozen over? Does there exist lifeforms which are a mix of bird and pig? "... This sucks, I figured if I could fly I wouldn't need to walk. Walking is so bothersome." Of course she was just researching a method to be lazier in her day to day life. It's Kuuki we are talking about, after all. Despite that, though, it's truly a rare sight to see Kuuki in the dojo. Not only did she not put effort into anything, she considerably has spoken her dislike for those who do. Especially to those that usually come to this place, most of all. It wouldn't be strange for one of them to show up and be shocked beyond belief to find her there. Heck, they'd probably have the same reaction that was written up earlier. They'd probably think they are dreaming, even. What's that? Rude towards Kuuki? That's a funny joke, Kuuki is the epitome of not liking things. But the one thing she hated the most was putting in any effort into anything. Though, now that she figured out that she can't move while using her powers she's probably done with that idea. Practising the same thing over and over till you get it right is super bothersome after all. Besides, that'd be literally putting effort into trying to not put in effort. And such a paradox would be rather conflicting with her very nature. ... So what now, leaving right now after she just did that practice run would be rather tiring... let's rest a little. Kuuki sat down on the soft mat part of the dojo. She'd probably be in the way if anyone wanted to use it but they'd have to force her to leave it. Well, if anyone came here often enough to train that'd be a non-effort, really. Edited by Momo, May 21 2016, 08:34 AM.

If great weather, a fiery sun and a burning spirit combined meant anything, it was most likely the perfect atmosphere for training the good o'l muscles. Nero Kaiser having mastered the art of asking for directions in Japanese yesterday; felt like he could take on the world and for that he needed to blow off the steam from his vigor into something productive. So where else does a man with energy go at this hour, well for Nero that was an obvious question and that was the gym. Upon arrival however he was caught in a surprise which gave him pause. There's was a white haired girl sitting near the mats, but she wasn't just any white haired girl. She was Mashiro Kuuki, a fellow classmate from Class 1-B just like him. Now he had never formally spoken with her, but he tried his best to at least learn the faces of his classmates. Nero was oh so pleasantly surprised that she liked exercising as well, given all those unbased rumors floating about of her legendary laziness. Now to stop being rude, he'd at least come and greet her before he'd start his daily routine. "Greetings Mashiro, I see you're up and about to hone your skills. Has the day treated you well thus far?" Nero spoke in a slightly old fashioned and formal pattern but his tone was serious and layered with energy. It also didn't help that he had a noticeable accent but not one that was generally annoying or impeded the understanding of his words but more of a curious tidbit that loomed over his speech. The only worry he personally had was if she didn't recognize him but even then, he could simply try befriending her so it never happened again. While usually an observant fellow, he tended to think the best of people unless proven otherwise. So Mashiro being there was a huge surprise considering how dainty she looked but hey everyone starts exercising at some point and if he could instill the glory of human perseverance and training into anyone he'd just say that today would be one of the best days of his life. Ah, this was comforting. This soft mat area was perfect indeed, now she understood what those sport junkies really wanted. Yes, this floor was quite comfortable, perfect for taking a nap on. And she was definitely resting on her laurels... even though she actually didn't accomplish anything yet. It was then that a new arrival greeted the day, one that she didn't recognize at first, but as soon as she was greeted herself she pulled a completely annoyed look. "Uhn..." She mumbled, this was that really active and spirited boy from her class. She made so much effort to avoid him too... wait, did she? Looking back on it she didn't try very hard at all, did she? In fact, here she is, sitting in the location he was most likely to show up. "Not honing my skill, just wallowing in despair of my current actions, Don't bother me right now." She said, as she flopped on the ground and sighed. That's right isn't it, she had messed up already. If she didn't want to be meeting the energetic kids she shouldn't be in the dojo. As she was lying on the ground, her tired eyes glanced upwards towards the boy... In the first place, what was his name again? She was certain it showed up a few times. Ah, that's right..."Kaiser-kun seems like the type to spend his entire day in the dojo, such energy is quite hard to look at..." She said, making a memo to not forget his name again... well, she probably will though. Even though it should be hard to forget such an extravagant and fancy name as Nero Kaiser. Hm? You're wondering why Kuuki hasn't scolded him or left yet? Well, to be honest, that slight bit of effort she put in earlier in trying to fly tired her out so she was resting right now. You're wondering how something so minor tired her out? Well, I mean, she isn't really known for being that fit. She falls over often out of nowhere and seems to fall asleep at the most weirdest of times. She leaves her books in her desk and never carries around anything heavier than a piece of paper. Those rumours definitely weren't baseless, after all, Kuuki was the epitome of non-effort. The fact that Nero had received two full lines of dialogue was quite the achievement. Hm... Maybe she's trying to butter him up and have him carry her to her home... Hah, as if. Besides, if she got any lazier her sister would scold her, and that seems rather frightening. Kuuki's face glazed over with darkness just thinking about it. Mari-nee could be really scary when she's angry. Edited by Momo, May 22 2016, 04:20 PM.

Cheery as he usually was, her annoyed look at first made him slightly pensive. Unfazed however, he felt the need to rationalize what her feelings were at this moment. In Nero's eyes, the body expressed more feeling than words could ever convey but only words could explain the body's feelings. Thankfully, she gave him all the information he needed to understand. Ah yes, despair his age old enemy that clouded the hearts of men and women, oh how he yearned to vanquish that foe. Maybe she was just being polite or maybe the darkness had overtaken her emotions to deny help, but Nero wasn't a man who could simply let people wallow in excess negativity. He couldn't consider himself a man if he didn't at least try. In a unsurprisingly swift motion, Nero instantly sat down in a lotus position to the side of Kuuki. "I see, but if I can offer my assistance maybe we can eliminate this source of anguish for you more efficiently." For some odd reason his eyes had built a fire in the as if he was going to physically combat anything she'd say. Then again anyone who had seen him fairly enough would notice this was the same face he put when he was facing a challenge be it an exam or cleaning the classroom. The fire in the eyes while not diminishing, flared down slightly when Mashiro threw out her little comment. He coughed in slight embarrassment forgetting the fact that the Japanese were people with honorifics and he wasn't paying the proper respect. Such shame... maybe he could correct himself before his indiscretion was noticed. "Hahaha, Kuuki-chan while your words contain plenty of truth, the development of the human spirt cannot solely be restrained to the body. The human mind, heart and soul are equally essential components to develop." he gave a small serious grin at the end of his little line. "Right now I'd like to believe I'm practicing from the heart." Indeed if the dojo could provide opportunities to strengthen everything then he'd probably would have become a hermit by now, but the world wasn't so simple. A hermit sacrificed society and human understanding for internal wisdom and that wasn't the path he sought. A path forged with people invaluable to him is the one he walked with all the difficulties it brought in. |

Aaaaaaaaaaaah, yeah. Darn, she caught his attention. Wonder if that earlier 'don't bother me right now' fell on deaf ears. This is why she hated those popular and energetic people, always felt like they needed to do something when they saw her. Geez, she could take care of herse- ... she already had her sister so it's not like she needed someone to take care of her. Hm? I was about to tell a lie? Haha, no way. Oh... From a frying pan into a fire, she had gone from Mashiro to Kuuki-chan. What was this? An upgrade? A downgrade? In his eyes, while he did indeed start using honorifics, he also immediately jumped to her first name. Heh, you think you can close that distance so easily, huh? Well think again, if you go a step forwards, she'll just take a step back! "The source is a much harder target you'd imagine, Nero Kaiser-san. Perhaps your time would be better spent on something besides such frivolties." Ouch, that's cold. From Kaiser-Kun to Nero Kaiser-san. That's like, an entire jump backwards, from acquaintances to just happen to know each other. Though, to use his full name seemed a little extravagant. "Also, to have you go on about working from the 'heart' is a little aggravating. Are you trying to taunt me?" She said, lacking a heart herself. Well, she forgets easily that that fact isn't quite common knowledge. But well, what could you do. It's not like Kuuki knows what people know so all she can do is lie there and spread her 'don't try to become friends with me' aura. Well, she definitely had the aura square down, if anything. "Haah~, this is why you energetic people are so bothersome. You don't understand a woman's heart at all... well, not that I have one." She said. Though, upon hearing that one might think it's a joke. Kuuki completely said that as a statement, so don't think she's the type to make jokes. Although, it's slightly funny come to think of it. If one knew of her condition, that sentence might actually be rather comedic instead of the self deprecation she intended. Besides, having a conversation with someone while lying down with your face on the mat is quite comedic in and of itself. Well, she's probably more comfortable just lying there like a sack of bones instead of actually sitting upright and putting in the effort. After all, Kuuki's the type to drink her coffee black because she doesn't want to put in the effort to grab the sugar or the milk. Even though she hates bitter things. In the first place, lying down like that while sitting next to a boy. Kuuki clearly didn't care about appearances, though her current somewhat cared for look was all cause of her sister, she emitted no feminine appeal. Nope, just a female being of the human race and her aura, nothing really stood out. So despite the fact that she was lying down in a way that made her femininity drop, it frankly didn't look out of place at all. In fact, just imagining Kuuki caring about her appearance and trying to do her hair in front of the mirror was weird. Like, you just can't expect such things from her. Still, for a girl to just lie there so defenceless next to a boy... Someone needed to talk to her about that. And with someone, that's probably going to end up being her sister. Though, how her sister will find out is going to be the tricky part. |

The two would be able to hear the dojo door open. If either one of them looked over, they would see what looked like some sort of robot wearing the female version of the school uniform. At least, it looked like a robot at a very superficial glance. If you spent more than a second looking at her, the fleshy parts of her face would be apparent. She would just stand there for a moment, a faint whirring emerging from her as her mechanical eye focused on the two other occupants in the room. "Excuse me," Jo said, her mechanically-created voice betraying the barest hint of anger. "But I certainly would appreciate it if both of you abominations would kindly get the fu-" A larger one-eyed student flicking the cyborg on the back of her head thankfully interrupted the girl's certainly rude statement. A dull metallic ring would echo for a moment as he shook his head some before placing a hand on the cyborg's shoulder. "No need to be impolite to them Jo," Matt said in his Irish-tinged way of speaking, giving everyone a smile as he did so. "They have as much right to be here as the two of us, after all!" "Right," the cyborg said, issuing a dismissive snort as she did so. "Now I have to be in here with three abominations instead of just one. Just fantastic, Hazeman." |

Something in his spirit dropped when he heard the name Nero Kaiser-san, he experienced not dejection but crippling confusion. His brain starting going into overdrive, did he not use the right honorific, is she actually using the correct form while he wasn't in any way. His data banks were desperately trying to find an answer that made sense or felt right but to no avail. Things didn't get any better when she came back to retort his talk of the heart. He felt like he had just stepped on a land mine which he had tried to carefully avoid. Every word was a knife to his confidence, all except the final three. Her tone made it impossible for him to consider a joke. The reality of lacking a heart caused a sudden calmness enveloped his aura. He felt the need to ascertain his motives. "I'd hardly call anyone's problem a frivolity, I merely wish to assist you and I apologize if my grasp of honorifics is wrong. I'll also concede that women are not my strong point in any way, but that only indicates a need for growth and even your words are a learning experience, Kuuki-chan." he said with his eyes closed and his arms crossed. If anyone took a notice to his social circle, most of his pals were dudes, or tomboys and while he did speak with other types of girls, they were far more brief in nature. Still why he was waxing philosophical now was basically a sort of rationalization technique for him but he truly felt all he had just said. Lacking a heart, now that was a question he wasn't exactly expecting to ever cross his mind. It still could have been a rather grim joke at her own expense. Maybe she had an artificial heart and she didn't count such this as real? He pondered a bit but ultimately came up with nothing. Matters such as these were best left for better days and for now he'd let it slip into the ether. Rather stuck in his own thoughts, he didn't pay attention to her form or his proximity to her. It was certainly odd but nothing he'd consider detrimental. No, the thing that broke his attention was another voice. Female but mechanized, he knew it wasn't Kuuki since the voice would be closer. Opening his eyes and turning towards the entrance two new figures appeared. He didn't really hear the lady at first but he did see the man reprimand her and something about abominations. Standing quickly, he kept the same posture he had before with his arms crossed but added a slight grin and a piercing stare. The flame in his eyes had returned since yeah things didn't keep him down for long. However the fact that Kuuki was lying down in a rather odd form next to him would look questionable to most people to say the least. "Welcome to the dojo, where perseverance is king. My name is Nero Kaiser, and this is my classmate Mashiro Kuuki-chan, do you require any of my assistance?" he said with his vague accent ever present tinting his words. He may have sounded like some sort of assistant but it was his usual greeting pattern to people he didn't see too often in the area or ones he simply didn't recognize. Either way, he now had three people around him, how would everyone react to each other, he wondered. Edited by Milanor, May 23 2016, 07:08 AM.

Ugh, why did this guy have to be so nice. That was so annoying, can't he read auras... maybe her aura didn't have enough impact. Well, the obvious answer is that she wasn't a martial arts master so she didn't even have any auras in the first place. Still, from the way she was acting she honestly didn't think someone would still be trying to get close to her. Truly, Kuuki was bothered by it. About to speak up, she clearly was going to say something mean to scare him off, when a new person entered the dojo. Or make that two, it seems. "Wow, that's a first, abomination..." She said, more surprised than offended. In fact, it was hard to get her offended cause nothing anyone else said has been something she hadn't thought herself. "Only that it's totally not, if you're going to insult someone you should put in a little more effort. Well, not that I can talk about effort..." She mumbled, as she kept lying down. Was she just going to lie there this entire time till she had to go home? No wait, ignoring that, what did a cyborg/robot girl want in a dojo? Did she physically train as well? Did training affect a cyborg, the question going through her mind was honestly confusing and too hard to think up an answer of... so she forgot all about it and just ignored that aspect of a robot in a dojo. T'was completely normal, sure. "Hallo, I am the classmate... You guys are bothersome so don't talk to me~." She entered in, as Nero said what he had to say. Wait, did she just try to say that like a normal high school girl? It was totally out of place and weird as fuck. "Guh, from 1 to 3, what a pain." She mumbled afterwards. Were it any comfort, Nero would bother them instead. In that way, having more people arrive wasn't a bad thing. Then she'd sneak off as they were busy talking to each other... Can Kuuki even sneak? I feel like she'd just stand up and walk off and call it sneaking. Only, now that she's been lying here like this, there was but a single problem. She couldn't get up at the moment, seems like her body didn't hold the amount of energy necessary for her to exert herself into a standing position. Had she known this would be the result, she would've reserved her energy she used on talking to Kaiser-kun instead and ignored him. ... Well, that was going to be troublesome. As odd as the pair came, they left again with the same amount of ambiguity. It wasn't terribly surprising in his eyes, but he still felt downtrodden to see potential go to waste. He always appreciated new training partners good or bad ,but his little downcast look disappeared easily when he took note that Kuuki still stayed and that made him happy. Anyone willing to train or improve themselves gave him joy even if he didn't know any better as to why they were actually there in the first place. "Regrettable but all is not lost." He murmured to himself. A new chance would awaken and they would probably learn but for now he would have to reset his gaze else. Turning around, the same clumped over Kuuki stayed there rather idle, he wondered for the first time if that position was even comfortable but she must have been enjoying it since these floors in particular were quite an upgrade from the concrete he had to train over. Some thoughts floated back from his home, but then he recompose do himself and brought back the topic he had originally wanted to discuss. "In any case, Kuuki-chan were comrades and if your source of anguish doesn't dissipate. I'll always extend a hand to help lessen the burden." he said calmly. Something about the girl he saw came off as that of a strong person even if her physique indicated otherwise. He saw it as an admirable quality in people to the people who liked defying perceptions. She'd also probably be able to handle her problem without his help but even he couldn't resist coming to someone's aid from time to time in order to see them happy faster. He was still troubled over the matter of her heart but the moment had been lost. Asking now would have been awkward at best and he knew that at the very least. The one thing he could do was put his previous words into action by lending a hand. What that would mean was obvious since the dojo had mostly one general purpose. "Now that we've dallied enough, why don't we start with some low effort exercise stretching just for a few minutes today. It helps in the circulation of blood and to loosen the muscles. Of course, unless you had another plan in mind?" He wouldn't force her to train at his level since he could tell she was beginner and he needed to see what limits she set out for herself. Everyone usually started with a few minutes, might as well see the reaction to the answer. |

Damn, as quickly as the two arrived, they were gone like the wind. She had intended to use their presence to keep the energetic boy busy so she could recharge her energy faster. Well, guess she had to keep at it while talking then. I mean, telling this guy of all people to go away probably wouldn't help much. Besides, he came here specifically to train, so if she wanted to avoid conversation it was her that should go away. Heh, well don't worry ladies and gentlemen, for Kuuki's intention was just that! In about... like, maybe give it 20 minutes tops. She had used almost all of her energy for that day to find out the earlier info, so she had to rest. "When did we become nakama all of a sudden." Kuuki said, referencing a rather famous manga, while at the same time playing with the japanese language. But wait, this guy just said he'd extent a hand to lessen the burden on her... Imagery of this guy carrying her everywhere she needed to be, since they were in the same class, came to mind. Wow, what's this sudden paradise in her mind, she'd have to expend almost no energy at all! Perfect, she should get right to that... or not, asking someone of the opposite gender to carry you around all the time probably was a little too forwards wasn't it? Eh, besides, if her sister found out she was using some guy as a personal taxi she'd probably get mad right? No, she'd definitely get mad. Oh well, dreams never live long. "Heh, don't be foolish. Low effort exercise? You don't understand my limits at all. Nay, perhaps because I've been lying here this entire time you've been thinking otherwise, but let's set this straight once and for all." Oh wow, was she going to reveal she was being underestimated? Well, for sure, being told that low effort exercise was her current goal even a preschooler would get pissed, right? Go lay it on him Kuuki! Show this guy what you're really made off! "I'll have you know that I've exercised for 6 seconds today, HAH, Low effort Excercise? Don't kid around, there's no way I could handle such a thing. Don't overestimate me, you damn fool." ... oh. Well, yeah... of course. It's Kuuki after all. "Besides, look at how loose these muscles are, heck, they're practically non-existent. In a battle with a 2 year old, I'm 100% certain I'd last for 12 seconds." Wow... well that's something. Well, there's no way that that's true, right? Even Kuuki wouldn't lose against a 2 year old, right? No, this is Kuuki we're talking about, it's not like she's self deprecating or something like that. Kuuki probably knows her own limits the best of anyone else. So it's true then, in the grand battle of Kuuki Vs Toddler, the toddler would win. Somehow though, she seemed to be boasting about it... "Go on, touch my muscles if you don't believe me. You'll find that my legs are like jelly. So now that you know this, you also know that getting me to work out seriously is like getting a sloth to win the 100 meter dash. Do you finally understand now, you grand king of fools!" Man, Kuuki's insults kept upgrading one after another... or at least, she was just upgrading how to call him a fool, wasn't she? I'm seriously worried for this girl's future. |

If there was a grander word for confusion then that word would definitely describe Nero's mental status at this moment. He could understand the healthy skepticism of the odd word since even Nero knew how bad he was presenting himself at first but everything else just kinda flew out from what he was expecting that his face began to concentrate. He wasn't expecting such energy... Was she taking pride in the amount of low key effort she made everyday or was she pulling his leg. Can someone seriously only exercise for six seconds? No way, even walking was a sort of exercise, so did she just use some kind of power to get here. He had a vague notion of what it possibly was since they were in the same classroom but he didn't exactly felt like pressing. It wasn't martial or fire based because then he'd have practiced with her at some point. What could it be...? The gears in his head turned and turned, then they stopped to make a small mental laugh. Kuuki and Toddler face to face, now that would be an awesome fight to see if what she said was true. This lighthearted sentiment said with a serious tone from the girl who had mostly stayed quiet up till now. It all became clear now, how did he not notice it earlier. It was staring right in front of him! "I see, this is the source of your anguish..." he murmured out loud. His eyes serious again with the spark of life enrapturing almost every fiber of his being "I understand completely, this challenge isn't one to be overcome easily. Yet the first step can be as simple as standing and walking forward. I can see it, you will be triumphant!" Nero boasted Ah, the nostalgia of being called a fool was almost familial. From his parents down to most of his siblings, that was his family title and he accepted it with a certain amount of pride. His spirit surged at the thought and his entire body literally burst in a gulf of flame encompassing him completely but never burning to his clothes and no sensible heat came off except visually. "I'll keep your troubles in mind, everyone can grow no matter how weak they think of themselves." He said with confidence. "Even if you just reach the point where you can become the victor against the toddler, that is an admirable goal to strive for. You may return back to your dorm if you feel unprepared. Pushing the issue helps no one but I would love to help when you return." His voice now calmed, he knew that for today she wasn't going to truly exercise. The fact that she had arrived however was a good attempt out of itself which was enough. Plus, this also served as a ploy out of itself since she would need to walk either way to bolster her legs. No goal was impossible. The flames now dying down, he extended his hand for her to stand up and to ascertain just how much of her arm was bone rather than muscle. For a cheery guy, he really had some rather warped perceptions of compliments and good parenting. Thankfully, he wasn't the type to suggest a real toddler fight as amusing as that would be to solve the problem. Now the actual problem would be just how much energy Kuuki had after that tirade that went over Nero's head. Edited by Milanor, Jun 7 2016, 12:51 PM.

Well, this guy was definitely expecting a lot more out of Kuuki than Kuuki herself. In the first place, anguish? Did she look that troubled? "Uhm..." In the first place, she wasn't working to overcome said weakness. It was her nature in the first place, so doing that would be impossible. No joking, it was literally impossible for her to work hard on something... well to tell him that might be might be a bit useless if he's kept trying to pep her up that much. "Can you like... chill out a little." She merely said, to his speech that would boost most people's morale. Kuuki though, merely felt it was out of place and honestly more of a bother to have so much expected out of her. "You believing that much in me is honestly quite bothersome... So could you not?" She merely said, seeing him put out his hand to help her up. She merely annoyingly started standing up by herself and languidly standing there. She merely sighed and shook her head, and then gave the person in front of her a somewhat annoyed look. "Ugh, I don't know what you expect out of me, but I don't have any goals or anything like that. I'm fine as I am right now. I'd rather appreciate if you didn't try to push yourself into my life like that. Frankly, it's a bother." She finally finished... mentally sighing to herself, she merely bowed her head and nodded. "Well then..." She merely noised, as she started walking off. Oh well, it seemed that Nero had gotten a little TOO heated up for Kuuki. Man, those words were rather harsh for someone that was only trying to help, but as harsh as they were, they were also not that wrong to say. It's true that Nero was a little pushy there, but still... Well, it seems with that impression, Kuuki headed off, showing far more strength in her being than she had in the earlier conversations. Well, if she says she's fine she's probably fine? And if she says she can live like that it's probably some form of strength. "Gwaah..." Of course... Physical strength was not it. She definitely fell over just now didn't she. Slowly pushing herself up, she merely glanced backwards towards Nero and glared. "Muu... You pain in the ass!" Wow, how was that HIS fault? Well, I guess she did say she was conserving energy... And he did keep her busy while she was regaining said energy? Turning back forwards, she started walking again. Only, it was clearly to see her movements were languid and rather slow. Honestly, even Nero would leave faster than that if he were to start leaving now. Even at a walking pace. Kuuki... your words might've sounded strong but... sigh... Oh well. I guess it's still Kuuki after all. |

His offer for standing refuted, Nero simply changed his mood to a rare pensive expression. She had definitely said the truth that he was too excited but again it was somewhat of his modus operandi so to say. Her words of not wanting to be expected for anything served to calm him down considerably. Her words about lacking goals and refusing his offer also struck a cord, not of sadness or dejection but as to why would anyone would stop trying to improve. He did recognize he was being pushy, it has been one of his ever constant problem with new people. It was a problem he had trouble facing but not the one he was suppose to be focusing on. Kuuki while now standing and moving forward on her own, still caused him some worry as to her form. He felt the need to say something just in case but before he could do so... out of nowhere the girl fell to the ground Needless to say, Nero could barely contain his laughter especially after that snide remark and that hilarious stare she gave him. Never had he seen such a struggle in his life, but he was joyed to see her keep trying even if at a snail's pace. He'd at least walk up and give one last offer before the girl could tell him off once more. It was only proper after having a good laugh. "Kuuki-chan, I can at least help you get back to some of your friends outside to get you back to your dorm." he crossed his arms in a content expression. "I am also authorized to use the emergency wheel chairs in the storage if the thought of a man carrying you causes too much embarassment." He let out a wry smile after ending that little comment. He never really cared for the social implications but he knew they existed so he'd be considerate if anything. This definitely went against his earlier wishes, but at the rate she was going, she wouldn't be moving anywhere. He personally trained because he enjoyed the benefits it brought him. Kuuki wasn't exactly at that level of appreciation for physical fitness but maybe by becoming a good friend she could potentially change her mind. People were always free to change their minds on various subjects and this could be one of them. Oh well, either way the offer was made in good faith. Nero finally understood he was being slightly reprimanded and called out for his behavior but that really wasn't enough to cause him to dislike another. Kuuki was still pretty great in his eyes and the fact that she could make such amazing facial expression boosted his opinion of her tenfold. He was surrounded by really amazing people now wasn't he? Of course, the other people's opinion of him was a whole different story being either good or bad. Let's hope for good things in Kuuki's evaluation. |

"Muu, if you're going to keep bother- hmm..." About to complain and reprimand him once more, she recalled his words a little closer. Being carried, being seated and pushed... both sounded wonderful. That said, the latter was impossible, not because she didn't want to be seen as injured or crippled or the like, but because it's probably not fair to take school property off of said school grounds. And he did just offer to carry her, did he even know what he was getting into? Well, actually, Kuuki wasn't really heavy. He could probably easily carry her with one arm and have his other arm free, such was her physical weakness. That said, this wasn't about weight. Could he really handle being seen carrying a girl, they might think something was going on, rumours might start. Well, Kuuki could care less, honestly she didn't even consider those aspects. To her, all she could hear was the offer and, despite his lack of tact, she could say it sounded tempting at the least. "Muu, you're bothersome. You think you can just come here and do whatever, and then tempt me with your sweet words..." Ah, seemingly it a refusal. Oh well, I guess even Kuuki has her pride. "Here..." She said, pulling out a small card and gave it to him. Wait, there was a phone number on that card, and a line that said 'If found lost, bring this girl back to Plato Building, Second Floor, Room 202. - Mashiro Mari' ... Kuuki, really? It happened often enough that your sister needed to make a card? Wait, besides that, giving him that card meant- "You already made the offer, so you better take responsibility for tempting me." Kuuki, you devil. You're going to have him carry you to the other side of the city? It was only obvious to expect that you were living in the dorm! Well, the reason you aren't is because you literally can't take care of yourself, I guess. Edited by Momo, Jun 25 2016, 07:07 PM.

In a way, Nero just couldn't stop smiling. There was a certain charm to Kuuki that he just couldn't really point out. Maybe it was the way she tried to act or how the conversation had flowed up to that point but there was just something he found sweet enough of her disposition to go ahead and help her. Nero also couldn't deny that he found her cute but he couldn't blurt that out plus he knew that wasn't truly the reason he was being drawn to her. Seeing as the fact of pinpointing that attribute would be difficult, he patiently waited for her response almost chuckling at her suggestion that he was sweet talking her. However by the time she had accepted he had been given a little card. Well, he didn't quite ask for a card but sure he'd bite but after looking over the kanji... was this really an adress or a lost pet advertisement? "Mashiro Mari... is this your older sister?" Nero asked slightly hesitantly. He would have said mother but you usually never have the same surname as the mother unless there were family issues. His hand however trembled slightly when he saw where this was going, the Plato building. He knew how to get to the Plato building sure... he had gone there before but that wasn't it. It was just that sudden realization that hit you when there was no other thing to think about. Nero would have to carry her all over to that place outside ... Suddenly our brave pal Nero wasn't looking too confident. He didn't mind a little gossip but this was town wide and Mashiro basically sealed it when he demanded he take responsibility. Still, this never impeded people such as him for long. "A-Alright, I shall take responsibility! I vow to reunite you with your her!" he stated with a bit of hesitance but determined voice. "I-I'll assume you'd prefer to rest on my back, is that correct?" Basically a piggyback ride, but hey the only other options were princess style and lifting her with one arm and that last one just seemed pretentious in his eyes. Just calm down Nero, if the little event inside school didn't cause you any stress then this shouldn't either. And also to be quite honest, he was also rather curious as to who this Mari woman was. Her leaving a note for Kuuki was a rather odd way of showing worry and affection, but he didn't see much complaint from the girl who gave it to him. Before kneeling slightly in the case that she'd hop on, he inputted the phone number he saw. You never knew how things could end being useful later on. |

It was actually rather amusing, this guy's reactions to things. Even if he didn't say them out loud, the face told many a things. And seeing that Kuuki lacked said expressions mainly, she was aware when a face changed expression. As Nero spoke up, Kuuki merely nodded. That was indeed her sister, her lovely and wonderful sister. The older sibling that made this meaningless dreg through a life as human meaningful. That sibling, yes. Either way, that was besides the point right now. No, the point was in fact something completely else. And what a good point it was. Mode of transportation, GET She thought to herself, pumping her fist. That said, her face was as deadpan as ever, and overall it ended up looking quite amusing, if not cute. Either way, putting aside Kuuki's bland cuteness, if that is a descriptor, it was now a multiple choice question. "Hmmmm..." She stood there, pondering. A multiple choice question with a few possibilities. 1. Piggyback. 2. Side Baggage 3. Ohime-sama dakko 4. The Tower Hm, yes. This WAS quite the predicament. That said, let us consider these options for a bit. The Piggyback, a safe and less obvious way of carrying someone. Most implication might think that the person is either tired or injured. That said, it might cause some confusing misunderstandings towards their relationship. They might think they're related, or childhood friends. This in and of itself isn't too bad considering the pro's. The Side Baggage, a safe way to carry someone without causing too many implication. That said, seeing that it's Kuuki, she'll probably actually hang there lifeless, and this would cause a whole lot of other misunderstandings. Heck, someone might call the cops cause they'd think Kuuki is either being kidnapped or knocked unconscious. This would mean this option is right out, sadly. The Princess Carry, for those who'd say 'Go big or go home'. This will not just cause a misunderstanding, really. Heck, if Kuuki even suggests this it would put their relationship on a level that is far ahead of what it should be. The Princess Carry generally is reserved for weddings after all, and having such a situation from school to home would definitely cause the rumor 'Those two are definitely dating'. The Tower, The one option Nero didn't consider and also for those who like looking silly. Sitting on his shoulders... They'd probably think they're just some kids fooling around or, if people are dumb enough, think she's his daughter or something. The main reason why this one is already out is because of a simple reason. It requires Kuuki to put in some effort staying upright. This concludes the considerations. Which leaves us to a simple conclusion, does it not? "Hmhm. Piggyback is fine." Now, to those who might be reading this post itself. You might have read this fairly fast, but to Nero it might be a little different. After all, Kuuki stood there a right minute thinking about those tings. After all, this was serious business. Either way, Kuuki simply got into position to climb on Nero's back and set off. She'd probably be leaning forwards, putting even more strain on the poor boy. But, then, if she were to actually put in some effort to release the weight on the boy then what was the point. Luckily for Nero, Kuuki was as heavy as a bag of rice, and while it wasn't exactly easy in most cases to carry such a thing around through the entire town. For someone like Nero, it was probably a cinch. Now they just had to embark for the journey itself. Onward, Kuuki's mighty steed. To home, we ride! |

The Messenger of Secrets

In an attempt to actually calm his nerves down a bit, Nero took the time Kuuki had given him to think to find some personal solace. A day of training turned to a day of friendly delivery or more like a family delivery. He actually started to question how often people even did stuff like this that wasn't caused by major bone fractures or massive slumber. Guess Nero was just that odd guy who got caught in such cases, not that he particularly minded. They were good bonding experiences even when no words could be shared. As for now, the time had come as Kuuki had finally chosen her preferred method and once she was ready, he did the rest and stood up for the small stride. All manner of expressions that Kuuki couldn't see spread across his face hiding his hesitance as best he could. Man, if he could see himself he'd probably tell that wuss to straighten up and get his head in the game, but sadly that didn't feel like an option when you were pretty much aware of what you were doing. Only two things came upon his mind as he took his first steps out to the world outside all thanks to Kuuki. The first was that she was... unbelievably light, it was scary and sad. Right now she was on his back, but he felt so terrified that she'd just disappear at any second. Hahah, such irrational thoughts almost made him waver into crying, but he was really overreacting here. This wasn't like the past and he had another issue on his mind. Her heartbeat... The comment that she had made had always bothered him when she made it out to him. He had kept his silence in order for Kuuki to rest and gain her energy back once she got back to her sister Mari but he wanted to make sure if he could feel something through their shared contact. Despite this interest, he knew he wouldn't be able to focus on it now that he had entered the city proper and the looks had intensified in his direction from odd stares to gossip around him. Nero really wasn't knowledgeable on anime or manga to know most of the common conceptions of scenes such as this filled with the orange sky. In all honesty, they reminded him about all the times he had to drag out some of his buddies when they got into fights back in the slums he lived in. Sadness and pain made memories melancholic and so did the actions that occurred in them. However in those memories of tears, there was always a smile displayed among the faces that understood your sorrow. The warmth of a person body's pressed up against you and the words of encouragement that flew to the air for the eventual rematch made them worth experiencing. He had never carried a girl purely to get her back home so in his slightly troubled appearance, a small grin crept up and a sigh of satisfaction made themselves known. This really wasn't so bad... By now, Nero had made significant headway from the Dojo down to the entrance of the Plato building. A recollection of his strange visit of Amaranta in the rooftop brought him a chuckle at the absurdity of it all, but he wouldn't bother her at this hour. He hadn't bought her the present he owed her for the lesson she had taught him and right now Kuuki held priority over anything else that day. His thoughts now normalized and free of the stress caused by the trip, began to wonder on what kind of person Mari was as he waited for the elevator. She seemed rather dependable if she lived out here with just her little sister. Definitely someone he could look up being an elder brother as well and he'd better lay off the conceptions in case he was just hyping her up too much. So as the elevator came and brought them to the second floor, he began to remember the coordinates. It was room 202, so it shouldn't be too hard to find and he had Kuuki herself to point out the direction if need be. Thankfully it didn't quite take so long as he found it rather easily and prepped himself up on the door. Taking one of his hands off for one quick second, he knocked thrice before returning it to support Kuuki. A small gulp went down his throat as he prepared himself and once she had opened the door. "Special Delivery! The Mashiro Kuuki-chan you have requested has arrived!" All said with a smile and gusto Edited by Milanor, Jul 3 2016, 05:40 PM.
