Name: Amaranta
Gender: Assumed Female
Race: Unknown
Age: 1, but looks like 15
Birthday: 15th of August

Height: 171 cm
Weight: 47 kg
Appearance:
Standing at an average height with a slender build, Amaranta looks like a red eyed girl with green skin and wide leafs on her head, vaguely resembling hair.
Some people say she has an uncanny resemblance to the girl known as Aya Taisha.

No picture available at the moment

Occupation: None
Year: -
Class: -
Club: -

Residency: Aya's apartment in Plato Building

Personality:
"Aya!"

Amaranta's personality could be easily described as simple. The very young alien creature has generally little interest for anything: sun, simple games, or the vicinity of someone she considers a friend can keep her in a good mood almost indefinitely, at least as long as her weekly need for meat kicks in.

In other words something may gain her attention, only for her to ignore it a few moments later, unless proven it is tasty enough...

Given her very young age, she gained a surprisingly wide vocabulary in comparatively little time, despite often mispronouncing names and verbs. Curiously, she often speaks the word "kunya" when startled or confused by something.

Amaranta's behaviour changes when hunger comes. Her basic instinct tells her she needs to eat meat. This translates in roughly pretty much anything animal, with humans included into her list, so she will actively try to satisfy her hunger.

On this matter we can say that the alien received some sort of brutal imprinting from Aya herself when she tried to eat her: after a few failed attempts (where she gained a good collection of bumps on her head as a reminder) it is safe to say she learned her lesson, and seemingly learned to let humans out of her diet. This didn't stop her to state someone looks tasty, though.

History:

It is not clear what was given to the members of the teen group known as 11th hour heroics at the end of one of their adventures a little more than a year ago.
Apparently it was the mutated seed of an Eudaemon plant.
Of the team, the young metabolist known as Aya Taisha was the one that took it and planted it in a vase in her room in Hyakuji dorms.

One morning the girl woke up binded in a vine: the plant she was growing was attempting to eat her.
The alien plant, named Amaranta by the tanned girl, grew up in a way that was completely different by any Eudaemon alien she met until then.
Much to her surprise, it looked like the creature took a large part of her appearance: whatever the reason the alien somehow inherited traits from her.

Once Aya realized she needed to eat meat, for the most part Amaranta was little more than a normal plant once she was well fed, enjoying sunlight and pretty much dozing all day long.

After the events of Link Joker happened, Aya moved from Hyakuji to Kaneshima, and Amaranta was transferred into the Taisha house in Izanai Park, under the care of Aya's mother Amelia.

Somehow, the alien plant seemingly didn't like her new home and much to Amelia's surprise Amaranta developed, in the span of a single night, the ability to morph into a more humanoid form devoid of roots and vines and with fully developed legs instead.

That said, the carnivorous plant attempted to reach Kaneshima by herself by walking on a straight line toward that city.
When Amelia found her in an unspecified point of the japanese countryside, Amaranta managed to explain she actually missed Aya and her friend Ene.

The doctor called her daughter, and both agreed to have Amaranta reach Aya in Kaneshima. While Amelia had doubts it was a good idea to let her go alone, the young alien gained a seat on the first train to Kaneshima.

Powers and Abilities:
Alien Physiology: While her exact species is unknown, Amaranta has shown traits of animal and plant mixed together. Her metabolism is mostly comparable to that of a carnivorous plant.
There is no doubt this alien species needs meat as an integral part of its sustenance despite relying on photosyntesis most of her time.

Amaranta possesses the ability to literally reshape her almost human body and turn her entire lower torso into a growth of roots and vines through a somewhat slow transition. This transition would last around a minute.
She is able to walk in this form, but her movement would be slow, comparatively half of that of an average human.

Amaranta can use those roots to effectively plant herself into the ground and gather nourishment from it, just like a normal plant.

When in this form, she can use two long vines as additional arms to grab and take hold of people or objects. The vines aren't fast, no more than regular arms, but they possess a constricting power comparable to that of a Boa snake.

Regrowth: Amaranta's stem cells have a behaviour similar to that of animals like the hydra or the starfish and is able to replace any damaged body part.
Her body is able to recover from pretty much any level of wounds, given enough time. This process is by no means a fast one: it may take one day to heal from everyday wounds, but it would take up to a month to regenerate completely.

Empathic Link: Amaranta has the odd ability to link herself to any entity she likes enough. While the exact nature of this power has yet to be explained, it seems she becomes able to vaguely know the general location of a person she has linked herself to. So far she is able to link herself to other five creatures.
Additionally, Amaranta is able to percieve when this person is in imminent danger. While useful in a way, it has the unpleasant result of putting her in a state of panic more than anything else.

Healberry: Amaranta is able to grow small red berries on her head if needed. The berries are comparable to Ribes Berries in appearance.
Their taste is a bit sour, but they satitate hunger and are able to restore peoples to full health in under one hour when consumed.
* Their production puts some strain on Amaranta's body, meaning that the carnivorous plant may get hungry pretty fast after their growth.
* One batch of berries is enough for 3 people to feed. Amaranta won't eat her own berries (She definitely finds more tasty the people that eat them though...).

Trichomes: Amaranta is entirely covered in very thin, almost invisible hair.
Under stress, discomfort or at her will, this hair can extrude a small, sharp tip that behaves similarly to the trichome tip of the nettle plant.
Those tips transform her hair into a needle that injects several chemicals: acetylcholine, histamine, serotonin, moroidin, leukotrienes, and formic acid. This mixture of chemical compounds causes a painful sting to the unfortunate person that touches her skin.

The effects are definitely comparable to nettle stings, with a burning skin rash on the body part that came into contact with her and can last for a few hours.
Aside from the skin swelling a little and the burning pain though, there are no other tangible effects.

Amaranta is able to suppress or activate this ability at any time, but it may also activate by itself if she is startled or scared as a defense mechanism.

Equipment:
A large flower pot she sleeps into.
