Mini Profile
Haruka "Elisa" Shinomiya, better known as Elisa, is the younger sister of Amane Shinomiya and the youngest child of the Shinomiya family. Raised in Germany for most of her life, Elisa comes across as far more European than Japanese and while she speaks Japanese just as well as a native, Elisa is actually more proficient in German.

Elisa moved back to Japan so that she could be closer to her older sister, Amane Shinomiya and now currently attends the Shinomiya Girls' High School along with Amane, serving in the Student Council. Elisa also has a part time job at the Kaneshima Shrine, where she assists Amane in various tasks, although often struggles with the job having lived in Germany and not having the same extent of familiarity with shrines as those raised in Japan would.

Personality
Elisa, despite having a very different upbringing from her elder sisters, Amane Shinomiya and Eri Shinomiya, shares many personality traits with her two siblings, while at the same time, also having a very different personality from the pair.

Very much like her two sisters, Elisa is very serious and hard working, as with most members of the Shinomiya family. Also, similar to Amane Shinomiya, Elisa proves to have quite a short temper, although when she is around people who she is unfamiliar with, she is a lot more in control of her emotions. Unlike Amane, who gets angry at people on first meetings, Elisa is able to hide her temper in those cases. It is when she is with people she is familiar with that her short temper starts to show. Ironically enough, the more familiar Elisa happens to be with someone, the shorter her temper seems to get. In fact, the only person Elisa probably hasn't lost her temper with who is close to her is probably Amane Shinomiya, her elder sibling, although that is mainly because Amane is the one getting angry...

Elisa, as a child, lived in Germany as a part of a home stay. While the family Elisa stayed with weren't officially nobility, they were formerly nobility in Germany and possessed a great deal of wealth, and mostly preserved their lifestyle even after losing their official status of nobility. Partly because of this upbringing, Elisa does her best to come across as proper, and that much is even shown in her clothing which match what you would expect of the European nobility. However, Elisa seems to have taken being proper a little too far, and has become rather difficult to speak with casually due to the fact that she struggles to communicate any emotions due to the fact she has become so used to masking her proper emotions by responding in a way that would be appropriate for a noble. However, cracks in Elisa's masks become all too apparently when you get to know her, especially when her short temper starts to show, and in a way, that short temper Elisa seems to have is more a result of her struggling to come to terms with her real emotions more than Elisa actually being angry at people she is close to.

Oddly enough, despite having little to do with both Amane and Eri during her childhood, Elisa seems to have very strong opinions on the two. Elisa, despite having very little interaction with Amane Shinomiya during her childhood due to Amane mostly being in hospitals and Elisa living in Europe for most of her childhood, seems to look up to Amane as her elder sister to the point that she even returned from Europe so that she could live with, and attend the same school as Amane Shinomiya as soon as she heard that Amane was no longer in hospital. However, despite having a positive relationship with Amane Shinomiya, Elisa's relationship with her other sister, Eri Shinomiya, could be considered the direct opposite. To say that Elisa hated having Eri Shinomiya as her elder sister would be an understatement. Elisa can stand very little about Eri, although the worst is by far Eri's arrogant personality which Eri seemed to have developed after being raised to be the heir to the Shinomiya family.

Going into the specifics of Elisa's personality, Elisa is very fond of European and Japanese things equally. After living in Europe for most of her childhood, rather than use her real first name, Haruka, Elisa has taken to the name Elisa, the name given to her by the family she stayed with in Germany so that she had a European name to use if she ever needed to. Rather than just use it when she needed it, Elisa took to using it more than her real name. Perhaps the only people who refer to Elisa by her real name are members of her family such as her parents and two sisters. Being brought up by two families with great wealth, Elisa could be seen as very spoiled when it comes to material objects, and she has very little sense of value when it comes to money. What most people would consider insanely expensive, Elisa tends to view as normal price, if not cheap. Although this does not mean she takes gifts and presents as if they were without value. While Elisa may have little sense of value when it comes to shopping, she does value the thought and kindness behind gifts and presents, and will show gratitude when given gifts and presents. Elisa's noble upbringing also comes up in her taste for food. Elisa is very fond of both Japanese and European gourmet, and Elisa tends to enjoy extravagant meals that most people would only ever see on television, and not once in real life. It goes without saying that since Elisa has been brought up on extravagant and top class cuisine, when it comes to simple meals and meals that you would expect in most restaurants, Elisa doesn't seem to enthusiastic too eat. The same applies to Elisa's tastes in drinks, although not to the same extend. While she may prefer fancier drinks, she is perfectly happy to drink regular water or orange juice. While she is still very young, due to the staying in Germany for such a long time, Elisa has drank alcohol, although not in any great amounts. The most Elisa would have been allowed to drink would have been perhaps a quarter of a wine glass, but since she has experienced tasting alcoholic drinks, the taste wouldn't be odd to her. However, this doesn't mean she has a high alcohol tolerance. Elisa, in fact, has the exact opposite, and is very weak to alcohol, unlike her elder sister, Amane. As far as weathers and seasons go, Elisa is a person who is only really comfortable in the spring and autumn, when the temperature is mild. However, since she has stayed in Germany for such a long time, she is a little stronger to the cold than she is for the heat, and she finds Japanese summers to be particularly difficult to cope with. Elisa enjoys light rain, although beyond that, Elisa isn't really all that concerned with the weather in general, although she does dislike heavy rain and snow.

History
Elisa, born as Haruka Shinomiya, is the youngest daughter of the Shinomiya Family. The eldest daughter is Amane Shinomiya, followed by Eri Shinomiya, the successor of the Shinomiya Family. Being the youngest daughter, and with Eri Shinomiya as the successor to the Shinomiya Family, Elisa, along with Amane, received very little attention from her parents, although Elisa's circumstances were very different from Amane's.

Unlike Amane, Elisa was did not suffer from any illness, which meant she was more affected than Amane ever was by the lack of parental care. Also, unlike her two elder sisters, Elisa wasn't taught about Shinto as much as Amane and Eri had due to the fact her parents' attention were entirely on making Eri a perfect successor to the Shinomiya Family. Much like her siblings, she learned to play an instrument at a very young age, and that instrument happened to be a cello, unlike her two elder sisters who both play the piano and violin. While she couldn't play as many instruments as her two elder sisters, she was by far more talented than the two of them.

At the age of seven years old, Elisa was sent to Germany where should would live for the next eight years of her life with a former noble German family. In Germany, Elisa attended a prestigious all girl's school that only those with the money to afford the best could go to. Elisa was given the name "Elisa" by her German family so that if she did require a European name, she would have one. However, unexpectedly, Elisa decided to use that over her real name, and has since been known as Elisa.

In Germany, Elisa studied various languages and became fluent in English, French and German, having learned the three languages due to their importance in Europe. Besides that, she lived a relatively peaceful life and was taught a lot about European tradition, and much of what she has been taught in Europe reflects in both her appearance and personality.

After hearing that her elder sister, Amane Shinomiya, had been discharged from hospital (albeit a long time ago at this point), and was apparently the sole shareholder of what ad become an international corporate group, Elisa got in contact with Amane, and after a few months of discussion, Elisa decided that she would once again leave for Japan, having agreed with both her German family and Amane that she could leave for Japan and live with Amane.

Enrolling into Hyakuji High, Elisa Shinomiya would spend the next few months studying at Hyakuji High while living with Amane Shinomiya and Erika Bernkastel-Kues. Having been abroad for such an extended period of time, it did take Elisa some time to become adjusted to studying in Japan and Japanese, her proficiency in German proving to be a great deal higher than her proficiency in Japanese. However, as time passed, Elisa finally adapted and was able to continue her studies with little trouble.

Elisa Shinomiya would once again find herself moving, this time to Kaneshima, when Amane Shinomiya made the decision to set up the Shinomiya Girls' High School. Needless to say, being Amane's sister, Elisa enrolled without question and has since been attending the school. Being a high class school for the rich, Elisa had found it much easier to fit in, being surrounded by people who share a similar privileged upbringing as herself.

Powers
Elisa, outside of supernatural powers, is able to speak Japanese, English, German and French fluently due to her time studying in German. Also, after being part of a once noble family of Germany, she has been taught much about European culture, and was also taught fencing, and while she isn't particularly good at it, she does know the fencing arts passed down by the Royal Court.

However, outside of ordinary skills, Elisa does have one special skill, and it links in with a skill that would often be considered ordinary, even if few can do it. Elisa, since as far as she could remember, had always played the cello. While her elder siblings, Amane and Eri, can also play instruments, Elisa is exceptionally talented at the cello, and very few can rival her musical talent in the instrument. While the cello is the only instrument Elisa is able to play, and while her talent only seems to lie in the cello, Elisa's skill with the cello expands much further than just simply being able to play music.

Phantasmagoria
幻想の唄

Phantasmagoria, a word that is often associated with illusions. The phantasmagoria Elisa is able to perform is, as one would imagine from the a name, an illusionary technique. The particular Phantasmagoria Elisa is able to perform is one associated with a witch known as the "Blue Abyss" 「蒼の深淵」. Of course, since the method used to perform the illusion is very different from the original witch's method, the effects and power of the illusion is very different from the original creator of the magic.

The illusion is essentially magic, and one that is delivered through sound. When Elisa plays her cello, she is able to cast an illusion in those in range of the sound. Needless to say, the further the sound travels, the weaker the notes become, which means the effectiveness decreases the further one is from the source of the sound. Without any supporting devices, Elisa's effective range is about a twenty meters radius. As the illusion is delivered through sound, devices that amplify sound also increase the effective range.

Of course, the illusion does not take full effect immediately. The illusion requires time in order to become fully effective. The illusions strength increases with how much of Elisa's melody has been listened to. On the first post, there is no effect at all. By the second post of listening, Elisa will have acquired the ability to cast illusions that effect the sense of taste. By the third post, Elisa will have acquired the ability to cast illusions that affect smell. By the fourth post, Elisa's illusions extend to hearing. By the fifth, touch. Finally, by the sixth post, Elisa's illusion is complete, and she will gain the access to deliver illusions to all five senses. Any persons who listen up until the eighth post will remain under the illusion until the end of the topic even if they do escape the effective range. Anyone who escapes the effective range before the eighth post will no longer be affected by the illusion, however if they do re-enter the effective range, the post the person re-enters will still have the person unaffected by the spell, however on the following post, they will return to the stage they were at before escaping the effective. This limit is only on the topic the spell is used in, meaning that if in one topic, they reach the second stage, it will restart at stage zero in another topic.

While Elisa is able to effectively vary the illusion from person to person, it requires great concentration on Elisa's part. While a single person may be reasonably simple, when the numbers start to grow into the threes and fours, Elisa's concentration begins to break, and making separate illusions for a maximum of three people is currently Elisa's upper limit. However, Elisa also has the option to simply give all those under the spell the same illusion which means that she only needs to concentrate on creating a single illusion for multiple people rather than multiple illusions for multiple people.

The main weakness of the spell is that it is delivered via sound, meaning if the target manages to block out the sound, they are able to escape the illusion. This can either be done by either escaping the effective range of the cello, or by using some kind of protection specially against sound such as safety earmuffs. The second main weakness also lies in the fact that Elisa has to play the cello in order to cast the illusion, meaning that she is defenceless while she is casting the spell. While she is able to provide herself defence after the illusion is effective, until the illusion itself takes full effect, Elisa is open to attacks or preventative action.

As a side effect of this power, Elisa is able to summon a temporary cello with the appearance of Mikazuki. While it is not the real Mikazuki, it is able to play exactly like Mikazuki and is entirely physical meaning that anyone can interact with it. However, it is not permanent, and will fade after the topic is over, or if the cello is damaged physically. The cello can only be summoned once per topic, meaning that once broken in a topic, Elisa cannot summon a second one in the same topic.
