Andronika's previous form
Occupation: A Security Sector agent and the Red Hydra Ranger
Residency: An apartment in the city. Pretty modest really for a power ranger.
Personality:
personality Andronika is a...strange women indeed. On the surface she comes across as the ultimate pinnacle of what a hero should be. Brave, courageous, heroic, honourable and a defender of the weak out to make the world a better place! In her heart of hearts she does truly believe in being a hero and protecting people! No matter who they are no matter what you've done or what you will do Andronika will always be willing to forgive you! Of course that doesn't mean she won't not stop you from assaulting the innocent! Even if she has to use physical violence to do so!
Motivation is an important people for many people and that is definitely true for the young Greek female. As a child she spent a LOT of her time watching Super Sentei and Power Ranger shows which has strongly influenced her. Because of this when Andronika discovered a legitimate Morpher, the power it gave her and the mantle of responsibility carried with it her inner child came out. In her hands she had a chance to live out all of the dreams of her childhood and that was a chance Andronika wouldn't let get away from her! Of course despite her childish motive she DOES take the role seriously and tries to live up to the examples set by her childhood idols.
Of course outside of that Andronika is, or tries to be, a pretty average person. She gets up and goes to work every day seeking to protect the people from the dangers of the world! Of course with this belief, and due to the nature of her work, Andronika does have a few moments of concern. See as a security company agent she only "protects" those who have paid to be protected and that causes her a certain amount of inner conflict. How can she be a guardian of the planet if she only protects those who pay her to do so? But wait I have bills to pay and I need money to do so.... It's a point of frustration for her but one she soothes by helping out at homeless shelters and the like during her free time.
There is also an underlying unhealthiness to Andronika's behaviour. Despite having a genuine heart of pure gold, which is the real reason she acts out being a bonafide Power Ranger despite what she would say, she has a massive self-esteem problem. During her years of education she never really excelled at anything being average and generic while a lot of her friends and classmates exceed all expectations. She really was the comic relief character while growing up and thanks to domestic issues with her parents Andronika grew a massive inferiority complex, which is partly due to the nature of her previous life, which currently serves as another layer of false justification for her "heroic" persona.
History:
history Andronika's current life is not her first one as, many many years ago, she was in fact a Gorgon not one of the main ones such as Medusa, Euryale and Sthenno but a minor one unknown to history on account of how uninteresting her life was. Like the other Gorgons she was born of Phorcys and Ceto but unlike her sisters she was not twisted into a hideous beast like Medusa and her sisters. Sadly she did not get off Scott free and was forced, on pain of death, to wear a mask that marked her as a Gorgon while also being accompanied by a series of snake like beasts. Sadly these spelled the ultimate end for Andronika as people are not always what they seem a lesson she learned the hard way.
She had, while living in Ancient Greece, attempted to live a normal life and fit into society even using her Gorgon abilities to enhance the lives of humans around her. Sadly the stories of Perseus began to spread specifically those of how he had slain Medusa, the most infamous of the Gorgons, and how her head had been offered to Athena. Sadly people began to get ideas viewing Andronika, or more specifically her head, as a lovely offering to their gods. That was why Andronika soon found her friends and neighbours turning on her forming a mob which blamed the bad harvest on her but really that was an excuse used to flare up the tempers of the people. Sadly for Andronika this mob had been manipulated into forming and she soon found herself dying on the steps of the local temple.
This death, and the general injustice of it, went pretty much unnoticed by the gods that held sway over that part of the world but as luck would have it Andronika was given a second chance. As she was bleeding out the mob surrounding her an armoured warrior showed up, whisked her away and did what he could to stabilise her condition. Sadly his efforts amounted to naught and she was definitely going to die which is when the warrior in his armour of gold offered her a deal. If she promised to protect the race, and the planet, that had betrayed her so then she would be given a second chance at life. With little time left to agree, she was moments from death after all, Andronika agreed unaware of the full details.
Skip forward to the modern age with its phones, PCs and cars (well twenty two years before the modern day technically) and Andronika was born reincarnated as per the agreement she made those many years ago not that she remembers. She was born to a Greek mother and father in the exact same town her prior life had ended in, an odd quirk of fate, in the exact same spot she had made that deal so long ago. It was almost as if the galaxy had conspired to arrange the construction of the clinic Andronika was born in of course it is totaaaaaaaaaaaally just a coincidence yeah. No fancy golden warrior involved in arranging this or anything. Nope nadda zilch. Anyway one birth later ans Andronika was brought back into the world as a human looking Gorgon..albeit a young loudly crying one.
Anyway Andronika had a pretty normal life. Went to school, made friends and grew up on a diet of cartoons mostly Power Ranger ones which lead her into Kamen Rider and Super Sentei series. Puberty was when she discovered the truth about herself. It was just like any other night she was walking home from school when it happened. Memories tore through her head of her past life and the deal she made. At first she was highly suspicious but, for some reason, she felt it was true but the thing was she WANTED to adhere to the deal. The reason for this is the youth are impressionable and given how she'd grown up watching cartoons about exactly this she felt no hesitation at jumping for it.
Skip forward to today Andronika has gone through school and college and has moved to Kaneshima as she felt it was the best place for her to be a ranger; after all an island inhabited by people with magical powers sounds like the perfect setting for a Power Ranger. The other reason she moved to the island was to try and, hopefully, find someone able to dredge her Zoid from the Mariana Trench and repair it. Fortunately she found it, reasonably, easy to find work and is currently attempting to find employment with a local security company. It seemed like the best fit but she is banking that her powers and personality will get her the job rather than her grades. Turns out running around being a hero had a negative impact on your grades hence how she was barely able to get into college.
Powers and Abilities:
The Morphing Grid All rangers, in one form of other, draw their power from a morphing grid irregardless of the how. As a result of this it offers them a series of physical enhancements even when outside of their ranger uniforms. These enhancements are all of the physical kind boosting her strength, speed and endurance (both in terms of stamina and general toughness) to Captain America levels in some areas. Of course the morphing grid connection can be broken through severe damage being dealt to the user.
She's strong enough to lift cars, fast enough to see and dodge high speed projectiles, such as bullets, with enough endurance to endure explosions and survive being thrown down from the tops of multistory buildings. As a final note despite all of these abilities a ranger is still only human and has all the weaknesses of one. In fact where it not for their suits and the protection they offered a ranger would probably die pretty quickly; the morphing grid has a very sweet tailor on call.
One final matter to address is that while these powers come from the morphing grid Andronika's connection to the morphing grid comes from her past life as a Gorgon. Yep. In a past life she was a Gorgon one of the beings Medusa was a part of but unlike her more well known sibling she didn't carry out such villainous deeds. Sadly people did not understand that and she was slain on account of her connection to the aforementioned Gorgons. Anyway the point is she is actually able to adopt the appearance of her past self indefinitely.
Red Hydra Ranger suit and the Hydra Xiphos The Hydra Xiphos is her weapon as one would expect. It is a mystical weapon powered by the morphing grid, as is her suit at that, modelled upon the Xiphos employed by Greek soldiers. Simply put it is a sword designed to slash and thrust. It is a magical weapon sharp enough to cut through solid sheet metal, steel to be precise, however the magical side of the weapon allows it to send magical blades flying through the air but most importantly damage non-physical beings or mythical creatures who would otherwise be immune to conventional weapons. Lastly is her ranger suit. She transforms into it, by using her sword and the morpher attached to it, for an indefinite amount of time which is actually how she access the enhanced physicality referenced in the prior power. The only thing to mention other than the theoretically infinite usage of this suit, provided she isn't knocked out of it by running out of power due to damage or other reasons, is that it is bullet proof and stab proof. In terms of defensive ability it is, in addition to the enhance durability it grants the wear, equal to a combination between police stab vest and bullet proof vest.
Equipment: Phone, house keys, wallet and other such things expected for day to day life.
