Since Adrian had battled against the dragon like beasts at the airport, in which that old guy had died in a manner he personally found befitting, things had not been...going well for him. His fall from the dragon's back had been an unpleasant act which, despite the fact Andromeda had attempted to catch him thereby breaking his fall, which resulted in the fracturing of numerous ribs, his legs and his spine. He was luckily he had managed to avoid paralyses but sadly his healing had not been as perfect as he had wanted. Since then his body had just not been as strong as it had been and he had found his swordsmanship....difficult to say the least. Broken bones and fractures did make physical exertion difficult.

That was the reason why Adrian was in the dojo wearing full plate and wielding that over sized sword of his. He had set up a makeshift practice dummy but was having.....difficulties. An outside observer would be able to see his movements were slow and sluggish hindered by the fact his legs had no healed fully. It was then, as he swung his sword downwards, his right leg gave away and he crumpled to the floor in a heap of groaning in metal. A frustrated grunt was the only response he made as he stabbed his sword into the floor and attempted to push him self upwards. Adrian did manage, with more exertion and effort than he usually needed, push himself back to his feet. He panted heavily trying to catch his breath annoyed with how easily he was getting out of breath. His stamina had been better before this.

"God damn it....a few fractures can't stop me this badly..." The problem was while yes his body had healed well enough for him to move it hadn't healed perfectly and as such his musculature was not as good as it had been. Who knew a couple of months lying around in bed and taking it easy, not that he had chosen to, would negatively affect him this bad? It also didn't help that he wasn't actually as "fully healed" as he hoped. Sure his injures had healed but that didn't alter the fact his bones weren't in the same condition as they had been before. The Knight could only hope his condition was a temporary thing or this might spell the end of the only thing he was any good at. He thrust his sword towards the training dummy but, suddenly, felt a pang of pain in his back which broke his grip and caused him to drop his sword. Frustrated with that Adrian violently kicked the dummy over breathing heavily with exertion.

Nova has spent most of the day walking around the school, looking for something to do or a place to be. Didn't help she was in her demon form, the tanktop shirt a little too short and revealing her stomach, shielded by a dense formation of feathers, the bermuda shorts just halfway between the knees and waist, her hair tied into a ponytail, horns glistening against the light after being cleaned thoroughly, wings folded behind her. But an interesting detail was the glowing feather in her mouth, said glow considerably faint.

It was then when she stumbled upon the knight, silently moving around in her sneakers, leaning against a wall of the Dojo, watching his moves with a smirk, but then listening to his complaint with a concern. She couldn't help but think of how useless she was by herself that day too... After that frustrated kick, she held the feather as if it was a cig, and gave a sigh, asking.

"Pulling yourself so hard while wounded won't help, Knight of the Night Armor. I can provide you with a powerful aid in recovery, without any cost of any sort."

In the midst of his heavy breathing Adrian had not noticed the arrival of Nova her horns jutting proudly upwards. In fact had Nova not spoken up she would have most likely gone unnoticed for a few moments longer. He turned to face her standing up to his full height. If one could see past his helmet the scowl on his face would be all too easy to notice but alas his helmet obscured his face. "Shut it. I'm not...wounded.....I just need to regain my strength." That was only partially true. Fully healed he may be but the injures had, sadly, not healed perfectly hence his poor performance. His frustrations were bubbling just below the surface.

"I don't care what your offering. I don't need healing...just need to keep pushing myself..." Sadly what Adrian failed to realise, or more accurately refused to realise, was that no amount of effort would resolve his issues. He looked over the winged female and his glare changed slightly going from one of annoyance to one of distrust. While he was not as against magic as the rest of his family, who had a hatred that bordered on the zealot level of extremeness, he did still harbour a certain level of distrust towards magical phenomenon and the creatures often responsible for it. He grasped his sword yet again and lifted it up reattempting to execute a perfect swing. Sadly despite the fact he was still able to swing his sword his movements were, much like before, slow and sluggish far below the level he was used to. It was a shame really as fighting was all he was good at.

"Uh, huh....", Nova sarcastically replied with a nod, observing it without responding any further, the feather in her mouth soon losing all its light and becoming no different from any other feather, its magic completely drained. Her tail swung left and then right, a "thump" following it. If he didn't want to be healed, she would just wait... And wait.

It was when he glared at her that she felt it: distrust. Nova has seen this before, her very godfather has glared at her the same way earlier in her new life. Letting her eye stray from Adrian's, she said nothing, did nothing, let him be foolish enough as to destroy himself. Because by then he wouldn't be able to say 'no', right?. Seeing how he slowed considerably, she finally let out some of what she felt: "It's stupid, you know it! You keep pushing yourself too hard, despite knowing you are not fully healed, and furthermore you went as far as to give me that same glare that THEY gave me! I know I'm HALF demon, but can't you TRY to accept ANY help?! A knight must know when to sheathe their sword, or to judge whether one is truly ally or not."

Her voice sounded beyond upset, as if on the verge of becoming hostile, but her expression lacked anger. At worst, she was just frowning. Following that rant, she simply continued to stare at him, as if expecting something from him.

Paul had been wondering around the school as well, and not so coincidentally keeping an eye on Nova. He seemed to be heading in the same general directions as her, and getting to some places before her! The fact she was Shade's roommate was what got his attention first, and then that she was in the MMA club as well.
Then he had learned she was a Demon!
He was studying her with an eye for killing.

He followed her to the gym, and overheard her talking with an injured man in armor. He had missed the first bit, but not the latter part.
He did not want her to get a hold over this guy.

"And a Knight must be cautous. Favors lead to debts, and to owe a Demon is a great folly."

Despite Adrian's answer that he wasn't interest Nova refused to stay silent for a decent amount of time. She verbally snapped at him yelling and lecturing him on what a knight must know. He raised his sword, rested it on his shoulder and matched over to her glaring at her from beneath his closed helm. "And the hell would you know about it? You're not the knight. My father was a knight. My grandfather was a knight as was everyone single one before them." There was an edge of volatile rage to his voice as he scowled down at the slightly shorter half whatever she cried about being.

"If you dare try and tell me how a knight should act again I will kill you. You are a peasant and a half-demon at that. A knight is little more than a glorified soldier. At the end of the day whatever title I hold will not change that." How dare this....peasant act like she had a single clue what being a knight was like. "I don't give a god damn what your problem is but if you want to throw a little tantrum you can complain to this." Nova would soon find Adrian lifting his blade up and pointing it right at her throat. Were it not for the fact his helmet utterly covered his face she would see an expression of raw, seething and murderous rage. His pride had been spat upon by someone who, in his book, had no real right to.

"In fact. If you wish to lecture me on the reality of being a knight get a sword. Use it. Strike me down." The only one, in Adrian's mind anyway, for one knight to prove the "truth" of their perspective to another would be to defeat them but there was one little problem with that: Nova was not a knight. "Oh but let me guess...you're not a knight are you?" That was the crux of Adrian's point. The Knight looked towards the new arrival and chuckled to himself. "See this one has a good head on their shoulders." Yes that was also another valid reason Adrian had no actually thought up himself. Demons were not exactly trustworthy, half demons at that as well, and as such Adrian had yet another reason to avoid accepting her deal; plus there was no short cuts in life regardless what anybody else told you.

"You're right, it's a loss of time to argue with a steel-hard skull. Go ahead, die training. I'm a half demon, but know what? I'm half child of Suzaku. Not that you would know someone like him. I may not know much aside from what I've seen in games about knights, but I've stained my beak and claws with so much blood in my past, blood from knights too, that I know the smell of suffering well... And I HATE it.", looking at his blade, she slowly pushed it away with the talon at the end of her index finger, probably wouldn't take much effort considering his exhaustion.

A hair flip and some steps away, intentionally letting her back show. She would test if he, and now the new arrival, were willing to be cowards and assault her with her back turned to them. With a twist on her heels, she faced them and looked around. "I like the outside more...", the demoness known as Nova didn't gave a proper response yet... But then she sunk her eyes on Paul. "Hm, you... I like you... What you said is true to other demons, but not all of the kind are interested in making humans suffer. May I ask you a few things?", to Paul, she gave a smirk that was probably smug, but less likely to.

"Simple pair of questions: Primarily, name. Of course I do not expect you to answer without me giving mine, first, so, may I?", giving a polite bow to Paul alone, ignoring Adrian for now. "I am Nova Kae-De Suzaku, at least the demon half of Nova, that is. Job? Secret, but I can assure you that I'm similar to a field medic.", her tail coiled around her as she soon stood straight, "With that, you may offer me your name if you will. And the second question, would you fight for the knightly honor in his stead? I don't believe he is in any condition for a proper fight, to begin."

With a flick of her right wrist, she manifested a green energy, which soon took the shape of a sword of a broad blade, the blade itself not longer than three feet but the hilt adding a foot in length. It was clear she liked defense over offense, specially with the stance she adopted, a hanging left guard. "Just another 'lil thing: if you possess one of these, make sure it is dull. We shouldn't be going for the kill, you know...", to Paul, she gave a friendly grin, holding no hostility to him.

Hmm, half Suzaku, just like he had heard.
The fact she turned her back on them was a serious insult which really pissed Paul off!

When she introduced herself, and asked those questions, Paul had answers "Names have power, so I won't give you my full name, just the first: Paul. So you are a Suzaku? Kind of like a pheonix? I guess death isn't that much of a worry for you in you can just come back! We woud have to face being arrested and charged, unable to help others in need instead. I won't be tricked that easily."
For the challenge "You want me to duel you for his honor? For me to accept would be to insult it! You insulted him by saying he needed help and when he refused, you insulted him some more. You have shown your ignorance of some of the most basic social rules. Most Demons I have faced and killed have at least known the basics, even if just to avoid angering the wrong people.
"You also turned your back to people who you know desire to destroy you. For fighters that is a grave insult, implying that even if they were cowardly enough to attack from behind, they present no danger to you.
"Save from one offer to help, you have done nothing but insult on nearly all possible levels!"

Adrian, for a few moments, seemed as if he was actually going to say something serious but then he burst out laughing. He laughed and laughed and laughed in a manner that could only be described as mocking. "Bahahahahahahaha....oh man you're an edgy little kid ain't ya? Kinder heute...." He dismissively shook his head still laughing internally at Nova. God was she expecting people to take her seriously? It was then that she flicked her hair, turned her back and walked away from Adrian exposing a vulnerability. "[God you're stupid. Really really stupid. I am not like other knights. Never show your back to a corpse." As much as he wanted to smite Nova...there would be no real honour in that. There was no honour in fighting dull witted peasants especially one that was a pathetic demon spawn.

"There is no honour in fighting a dull witted peasant like yourself. You seek to lecture others on what you yourself do not understand." That was when Nova dared try and arrange this new arrival serve as Adrian's second that was yet another insult and also an example of Nova's lack of knowledge. "You speak as if you should know how a knight should behave...then you try and arrange on my behalf. I do not have a second nor would I allow one. Cowering behind other people would make me no better than you." Oh so Nova wished to use a dulled blade? Pathetic. Cowardly. Weak. "And you seek to fight with a dull blade too. It's easy to say what you like but the moment it comes to actions you seek to avoid any risks for such a thing." Adrian laughed again a mocking but genuine laugh purely directed at Nova.

"But...bahahahah...you forget...I could kill you with a blunted blade." Nova's apparent lack of understanding and knowledge about a sword was apparent. Blunted blades were not as safe as one would think. "Your arrogance is stifling demon spawn. You try and force a second on me but do not even have the respect to ask me my name. Begone from my sight vile demon spawn. " At this point Adrian had decided there was little point in talking with Nova further given how she had, as Paul had pointed out, attempted to trick Adrian and Paul into facing criminal charges. The Knight turned to Paul and nodded his head as form of thanks. "For a peasant you seem to have an understanding of martial practitioner's code of honour I had not come to expect. Where do you hail from?" Adrian sheathed his sword on his back and removed his helm revealing white skin and a head of pitch black hair.

"Phoenix, you say? I kind of am like one, yes, though even I have seen true death and reincarnation, but in ways that would make a mortal tremble, Sir Paul. And you are correct: If there were any death of myself or yourselves, the other party would be blamed. For myself, it would be no big deal, demons always takes the blame anyways... But knights being dishonored would paint their armor blacker than black, wouldn't it?", why was Nova grinning like that now?!

"Now, now... I didn't specifically say his knightly honor, I said THE knightly honor. I may be a birdbrain but I'm not that dumb, you see. The little I know comes from reading stories or playing games, at times from my very fragmented memories of my past life that I'm still trying to piece together. Animals makes themselves vulnerable for a number of ways and testing trust or proving trust are two of them. At times, it is to bait into a false sense of security- Hm?", at the corner of her eyes, she was looking at... Something? Then Nova made her blade disappear and stood straight, facing... Nothing?

Apparently, she was seeing things. In truth, her mind was making her see her other self via imagination. But often her eyes would twitch to Adrian as he would speak, showing that Nova was still minding him. At least that... "Excuse me for a second or so, internal banter in here.", shortly after that explanation, she directed her attention to Adrian once again. "Peasant? I'm closer to a Pheasant, thanks. Hm... It's not that I want you to cower behind him or something, I wanted to help and you did... A thing that really upset me. I'm more calm now. Apologies for the rudeness, but you can't expect much of what was once a beast of pure destruction.", at the very least she recognized her mistakes.

"And I know a blunt blade can kill, mom and dad showed me the hardest way during a recent training session. With a pair a bokken each. No holds barred. It hurt good.", did she just BLUSH?! "AnywaysIwillleaveittohernowkthnxbye!", after a bunch of words mashed together, a burst of harmless flames, and now stood the other Nova there, adjusting her clothes with a scowl. "You could have at the very least told me what you were wearing! Uuuuu~ It would be very very awkward if I had not noticed it in time!", seems the previous communication was mostly one way.

This other Nova, albeit human in appearance, held a stronger presence than her body made it seem. "Anyhow, sorry about how my other self treated you. She has been having a rough time dealing with all my negativity. So, I know Paul, but you... Hm...", her eyes went between the two for a moment, before setting upon Adrian. With light steps, her head tilting slightly with a puzzled look, she approached the black knight.

"Hi?", everything about her was different, voice, appearance, attitude...

Paul nodded the man in armor. "I am from another world, and considered a Paladin there. My armor and weapons did survive crossing worlds. I am not a mere peasent, having earned a higher station by Divine Grace, and strength of arms."
Ooh, a rebuke against someone who got his post by birth!

When he heard Nova give her reply, he figured at first that she sounded nuts. Then she showed that she was and had a litteral split personality!
"Nova, the mere fact you are mentally unstable makes us me even more untrusting of you."
Smiling "But thank you for revealing another form of yours that we will know to watch out for.
"My honors lies in doing my duty. Not all knights consider their calling the same. Some see being a knight as a duty to oppose Evil, to be a symbol of knightly virtues to inspire others, and to wisely use any power that comes with their post to help the peaceful rule of the lands they are in."

Smiling at her for a moment like a wolf smiling at something he wants to devour alive "Trust me when I say that I will be keeping an eye out for those who need to be brought to Justice."

"...The more you talk the more like a god damn edgy teenager you sound." Adrian scoffed at Nova dismissing what she said at the efforts of a miserable little whelp talking big when they had nothing to back it out. "The Knightly Honour huh?...Oh you are so very deluded. The honourable code of a knight is down to the indivudal knight. My siblings follow a very different knightly code than myself." The more Nova talked the more she made a fool of herself as it seemed she was trying to talk her way out of the massive hole she had dug herself into. "Yeah...because we all know books and video games are an accurate representation of reality. Imbecile. Silence your tongue before I remove it." The murderous glare in Adrian's black eyes made it clear he really would do it.

Listening to Nova prattle on further only gave Adrian a headache born of the sheer idiocy coming from her lips. Holy hell how could people be this moronic nowadays....weren't demons meant to be smarter than this?! Still despite Nova's apparent "admittance" of her mistakes and gave out excuses (which just reeked of a desperate attempt at making herself seem superior) she continued making digs at Adrian. "Silence. Admit your mistakes as much as you like you got what you deserved. You talked shit and got put in your place. Now cease the pathetic chirping. It's pretty obvious you're only trying to paint yourself as the better person." Adrian rolled his eyes and returned his helmet to his head before returning to the training dummy. Despite the fact Adrian was making a series of practice thrusts at the training dummy, albeit sluggish ones, he was still paying attention to the conversation behind him.

"More excuses girl. Sounds highly convenient you had a split personality." Unaware of the flames that had enveloped Nova, his back was turned to her after all, the knight still had his suspicions about the validity of her words. "Yeah good. I detest people who don't earn their knighthoods." Not that Nova nor Paul would know this but while yes Adrian had been born to a family of knights he wasn't just given it at birth. Legally he had been but his family had their own martial traditions that demanded he prove his competency as a witch hunting knight which he had...sort of; it was a long fuzzy story. "Ugh justice. What a load of bollocks." Whatever kind of knight Paul claimed to be Adrian disliked how he was presenting it. A knight was little more than a soldier with fancy armour, fancy story, a well respected family and a horse. Notions such as justice did not exist on the battlefield of course his family would disagree. Still Adrian did not share his name.

The things they barked at her made her expression twist into a frown and mumble "The Hell is going on?! ... ?". Nova's frown left her expression momentarily when she looked at Paul. "It's not really mental instability, it is more akin to there being two "me"s. My Demon's self duty? Keep my Celestial self sane and safe.", wait, so did that mean that her Demon self dismissed them as a possible threat? That she had yet to answer.

"Paladin Paul, huh... You kind of remind me of my Godfather. ... ?", slowly, she was giving an innocent smile to him, "Hihi, you truly know what you talk, and I find your pursuit to be kind of, if not truly, passionate. I agree in your views of the knightly duties, thought I wonder how many would agree with us right now. Well, doesn't seem HE would?". Words or fingers weren't needed to identify who disagreed with Paul's words.

Thinking for a moment, a sigh and a look to the ceiling, and her eyes soon moved back to Paul. "My ambitions are simple, for a simple-minded bird, specially compared to yours. All I seek is to atone for my sins through the use of my gift."

Nodding to the other Knight, Paul said "His views are his own, and he has the right to have them. I can try to convince him to change, but not to force it. I can not tell if your words and actions are due to ignorance, deliberate offense, or indifference. I hope it's ignorance, because that can be fixed, and slightly forgiven.
"Before you speak again, I want you to think, and wonder if there is a need for it, or if you will just cause more offense."

Now he motioned for her to join him a distance away from the other knight, so to not bother him as much, and go fishing for information "You speak of people training you. I am curious if someone nearby is training on ettiquette. If not, I may be able to find someone who can forfill that role. If you do, then I suggest talking with them about how you are acting.
"Insulting the wrong person can cause deaths, and we wouldn't want that to happen, now, would we?"
His smile and voice at this last bit showed that yes, if it was her, he would probably want it.

(I have decided to write myself out of this thread. You two are welcome to take it where you wish.)

Adrian was clearly not part of this conversation at this point and so returned to practising his swordsmanship. Thrusts, stabs, upward swings, downward swings and horizontal swings were his training regime for the day as he tried to rebuild the strength that had been lost during his hospital stay but sadly his efforts resulted in him yet again exhausting himself and dropping his sword on the floor. "Damn it....." Heavy ragged breaths could be heard through the face plate of his armour revealing just how exhausted he happened to be. He picked his sword up with some difficulty and stored it in the scabbard on his back.

Adrian decided that he was not going to get anywhere like this today and so began to walk towards the exit of the dojo but came to a stop before Paul. "Sir Paul. Our orders and titles are probably different but you are still a knight. I wish you luck with your duties." It may not have been the most sincere of wishes but given how this was Adrian and his....prickly personality it was probably the best one could hope for. He then turned his head to Nova and removed his helm carrying it beneath his arm. "Lady Nova. While I hold my doubts about the validity of your claim to have a split personality...you are still a lady. I won't apologise for my actions earlier but I also wish you a good day." Perhaps Adrian had calmed down a little given how he had vented his frustrations at the other Nova.

He walked out of the dojo to his horse, the mechanical one, and smiled seeing his steed was waiting for him. He removed his armour, with a bit of difficulty, then stored both it and his sword upon the mechanical horse. A few moments later those inside the dojo would hear the roaring of an engine as Adrian transformed his horse to motorcycle and rode off heading home. Perhaps he would talk to the women who served as his current liege lord. She may be able to offer some advice on the subject of what to do in order to regain the strength that had lost. Of course the real problem was the fact his legs, despite having healed, were not as durable as they had been before the injury. The smart thing to do would be to go to a doctor but all doctors had done was tell him to retire from the battlefield.

She thought for a while, eyes to the floor. "I think I am ignorant to much more than I can imagine... - !", Nova then heard Adrian announcing his leave, and looking considerably less hostile she said "Good day to you as well, and take care. While we may misunderstand, we never know what the future has in reserve for us."

"How I am acting, huh... Now that I think about it, ever since the eruption day, I have been feeling weird. First started with myself questioning the massive power difference between a God and a Celestial, then it was me questioning the purpose of Celestials if Gods still exists. Before I knew it, "that" was creeping up my spine, the familiar feeling We keep trying to hold back, because We know what happens when it comes out."

"Unfortunately, this is the kind of thing I have to fight by myself. That is: Me and my other self, against this... Feeling. Not even my mentor should know that "It" can come back. If it does, I'll be gone forever."
, while that sounded TERRIBLY grim, Nova sounded uncomfortably calm, almost as if she was ready to face whatever lies ahead.

The ground shook around the dojo. Outside, a large dragon had decided to use the dojo entrance as a landing strip. The creature was even stranger due to its ghostly appearance where one could actually see through it without much issue. Still, the spectacle soon vanished as the figure riding it jumped off its back and patted its face.

"Thanks for the ride, Roland. Take a break you sweetheart.”

And the great beast dissipated into the air without a sound. It's handler, a girl dressed in peculiar armor, strode into the dojo where she noticed two people having a lively back-and-forth...but no fighting. Well the female seemed to be ready to leave at any rate.

"I thought this was a fighting dojo. Not the debate club” she smirked haughtily "are you two about to duel? Because if so, I want in!”

Within,Ashley was probably planning to apologize for her rudeness after, but Type:Rider did not tend to share her politeness.
The Mage's Association urged her to Keep using her power to summon Heroic Spirit Ashley often so she could better utilize it and spur its growth. However... more often than not, Rider and Lancer got her into trouble that would be hard to explain away. This seemed like it was heading in that direction.

Nova, you just told Paul and his oh so helpfull advisor Yuntak that you are losing control of your Demonic Nature.

Yuntak told Paul "Watch this one, because sheis becoming a real danger to innocent people. Even she admits it. If she believes it is likely enough, she may ask for our help to end her."

Paul thought back "As long as it does how have enough control over her to stop that logic. Plus we need to find a way to true kill her."

When the other girl came, after the Knight left, Paul told her "No. I came here for some practise, not an actual fight."
Well, he did need some practise, and mabe he could see how good the others were. He knew Nova was part of the MMA club from a picture he saw of it. He also needed an excuse for him being there in the first place.

Going to the practise equipment, he set it up and started to practise. This included moving around, and as if fighting more then one enemy at once.
He made sure not to do his best, but only to use some basic moves in orderto prevent them getting his measure.

"Practice, huh... I need some practice too, but be mindful, I'm still healing.", a pair of flame wings grew from Nova's back, and from it she took a single feather and took to her mouth, just like her demon self has done earlier. This one was still burning vividly, but the fire spread nowhere that could be seen.

With a swing at the air, she brought forth the same energy blade from before, bringing it forth in a flourish and holding with both hands, her wings spreading to full span, before fading in faint wisps.. "So, do go rough on me, please?", there was some fire in her words, coming from the surface of Nova's tongue. Her tongue had a nasty cut, which was slowly being healed by the fire, possibly meaning that she bit off her tongue during an earlier training.

"Fighting, practice, it's all the same if you think about it. Unless you meant to actually off someone...on school grounds" Ashley watched the boy carefully as he began his mundane practice session and seemed to ignore the other two girls

"Hmm, I don't know if I should be angry or not, being brushed aside in such a manner. Oh well, you'll be a good sparring partner right?"

Nova's impressive display brought a grin to Ashley’s face. Now this was a strong opponent, Lancer would no doubt complain later over not being the one to fight here.

"Sure thing" Ashley said, materializing her shortsword out of thin air "but you go ahead and say uncle when the thrashing gets too much for you, alright?"

She tossed her sword back and forth between her hands before kicking off the ground with her powerful body and rushing at Nova with a series of rapid stabs.

While powerful, Type:Rider was not the murderous sort and the blows contained no killing intent. As such, the blade was made dull when materialized, but they did hold a fiery will that made them very painful if allowed a clean hit.
