Tashiro Miyamoto entered the dojo, dressed lightly in a summer kimono. He carried on him his two bokken, which usually seemed attached to his hip. He heard tales of the Martial arts club. It seemed a good a chance as any to improve his martial skills, or at least keep them from decaying. Hopefully, he could convince whoever was in charge to allow weapon sparring. If not, then he would get his practice in with just his fists instead. The Ronin looked around, searching for someone who seemed like they would know about this club. |

"Well well, what do we have here? What can compel a man to come here armed?" the voice of a young man ran out with a question. Not that he needed an answer. It was the dojo, a place sacred to him and a training ground for all to partake in. People who came here usually came with purpose and whatever truth that held could be questionable, it was an absolute for the one and only Nero Kaiser! If he had not taken notice when he first entered, Tashiro would notice a crimson haired man shaking his palms readying to strike a nearby body bag. Classes were for the day and it wasn't like him to waste a day. He was also on general maintenance duty and Q&A for the MMA club but that was more voluntary as the one who would be doing the actual paperwork was sick for today. In either case, visitors like the young man didn't appear often, but he didn't quite know what to ask him. He wasn't part of the kendo club that was for certain or at least not yet. The MMA and kendo club knew each others faces way too well for a new member to stand out like a bamboo shoot in winter. "Tell me, what do you seek? Maybe I can offer assistance?" He asked once more with a certain firmness that was not of intimidation but of veritable curiousity. Hopefully, the new guy wouldn't think he accidentally confronted a drama student or something. Nero just kind of talked that way. |

Tashiro noted the red haired boy, then focused back on him when he spoke. "I brought training equipment, not weapons." Of course, he always had his weapons on him, but who needed to advertise that? Anyway, "I came here to find the Martial Arts club. I would like to join, and practice fighting with other like minded students. Would you happen to know who I could talk to?" Tashiro adjusted his kimono, this young man was certainly trained in martial arts, judging from his easy posture and presence in the dojo. No stranger to combat, most likely. Perhaps this was who he was looking for... "My name is Tashiro Miyamoto, pleased to meet you." |

"You're an odd fellow." Not that he was much different. He left his training bag behind and moved towards Tashiro extending a hand for a shake. "Of course there is no shame in that." A firm grip would be felt if Tashiro accepted the handshake and a certain levity would rise in the air as Nero smiled back at him. He was rather happy considering the circumstances. "I believe I am the man you seek. I am Nero Kaiser, Vice President of the MMA club and your supervisor should your words ring true." In a swift movement, Nero put his face on his chest almost as if those words made him proud. It was a sense of pride he would try to instill on many others who joined his club as they made their names known to the world or at least the student faculty. Still a small doubt remained in his head. "However, quench my curiousity and tell me why a man with bokken would choose to join our club?" It wasn't the fact that people such as him were uninvited to join, but there was a possible chance he was simply confused. The MMA and Kendo Club were rather close rivals and despite their differences got along fairly well. If he was truly intent on joining the MMA however then he'd put him with a small test but first he needed to know his answer to his previous question before he could delve any deeper. |

Tashiro smiled a bit at being called odd. Not the worst thing at this school. He returned the handshake with equal force. "It is good to make your acquaintance, Kaiser-san." On hearing the question, Tashiro looked down, and laughed. "I may have been vague when I said these bokken are training equipment. For me to go without these would be a swallow without it's feathers. Naked. If I was to join the Kendo club, they would ask me to wear some cumbersome armor in the sake of safety. I want to train my body in more than just swordsmanship. In my home, I only ever sparred with those who trained under the same teacher as I. I would like to try my fists against another opponent." Nodding, he gestured to the dojo. "This, and the MMA club, is my best bet for that." |

Nero kept his silence as the man spoke with a certain modicum of interest. It wasn't strange all things considered since he knew a fair amount of people who had some form of protection on them at hand. Aside from that, he could tell the boy was rather formal from how he carried himself yet contained a supressed spirit at least in Nero's eyes. Nothing good would come from keeping it pent up and that wasn't something he wanted. "Normally, Boss or Nova would give you an application form but dealings with such things is beneath the both of us." Which in a normal context would mean is that it was quite a pain. The MMA club was open to anyone who wanted to join with a written application, but despite his ability in paperwork, he had no interest in using that to determine one's strength. No one ever fell a tiger with a pen. "That said, I'll issue your very first challenge." Nero said calmly as he stood back from the center of the dojo. His eyes had flared once more but for a moment the intensity in them cooled. Alongside him temper, so did his entire body as it was engulfed in a torrent of water particles. When the shower died down, a blue haired Nero Kaiser with azure eyes was left. "Your first challenge is to strike my chest or back with your physical body. I will allow you the use of your bokken but in order to pass; the decisive blow must come from a part of your body." Standing in ready, Nero was pretty much ready to get this started. All that was left was his answer and they could commence. After all, true camaraderie only forms when you have an honest fight as a team. |

Without a word, the ronin drew his blades, and knelt down, sitting with his legs tucked under his knees. Carefully, he placed both blades to his side, before bowing to his opponent. He rose, keeping his stance even and balanced, feet shoulder width apart. This wasn't the time for conversation. A challenge had been issued, and he would attempt it to the best of his abilities. He took one step forward at a time, a calm and slow approach, before launching himself forward, body turned to the right, right hand shooting up from his waist, towards his opponent's torso. However, he was fully ready to dodge and weave. Nothing in Nero's challenge indicated he wouldn't fight back, after all. |

Nero's breathing calmed and mellowed as his eyes began to focus on his target. There was nothing wrong with his initial plan albeit it did look rather obvious what his intention was from the onset. He was most likely testing the waters so to speak and Nero wasn't going to go that easy on him. It would be an insult to both of them. Ready for anything he awaited the bokken until he began his attack. To his opponents probable surprise, every strike he made would be countered by reposition his opponents strikes. If he swung, he'd redirect his strike to the side while using his free hand to defend itself. He wasn't interested in hitting back just yet until he could gauge for himself what sort of tactics he was used too. Battles were tests of both brawn and brain Now if the initial charge was ineffective what would his course of action be. That was Nero's goal for now if he could adapt to a person who simply evaded. |

Tashiro noted the fact that Nero was not striking back. How annoying. The best openings often presented themselves when an opponent strikes. The defensive style left few openings for the ronin to exploit. So Tashiro pushed forward in a flurry of strikes, maneuvering to the side of the dojo, before pushing up and stepping off the wall to unleash a massive roundhouse kick towards Nero's side. His body continued to spin, as his extended leg retracted. A feint! As his back turned to his foe, his other leg struck out in a back heel kick at his chest. Upon landing, he spun around and pushed forward into a flying front knee. But as the knee came up, suddenly, it flew back as his right fist slammed forward. A classic superman punch. Such a strange change of styles... From a centered and focused karate style, to a no holds barred MMA attack! |

"Interesting..." Nero's eyes kept moving from side to side while his hands parried his blows hit by hit amassing a string of combos simply by deflecting any strike that came his way probably evading about six blows just from using his hands. It's not that he wasn't being smart, not at all. All these attacks were good for proper disorientation against foes who didn't know any better, but Nero had been a martial artist almost since the day he was born. Making a fool out of him took real skill as Tashiro's first blow was blocked by the side of his shoulder, the first proper hit by either. His continous blow was only barely blocked by the momentum of his free hand pushing the upwards above his heads making it pass over. Then something made him pause as he went for a full on frontal attack until his fist decided to show his real objective. Such a numerous series of stringed up combos with proper technique worked in tandem long enough for Nero to watch Tashiro try to punch him straight on. Deflecting it now would have been ideal but there was a margin for error now if the punch ended up being another feint. He wasn't expecting the last hit to end in such a way, and if he did a leg sweep it wouldn't make for a good defensive bout. Putting one of his arms forward a torrent of water surged from his arms at rapid speeds to blow Tashiro against the wall. "Not bad. However even I have my own tricks in store. Give it one more shot " Nero had no problem starting to show off his prowess, but he had failed in a sense since he wasn't expecting to use them this early. If he could force him to go on an offensive stance or attack, then he'd pretty much have to acknowledge as a worthy members of the MMA complementing the prowess he had shown so far. |

A torrent of blows, followed by water!? Nearly making a decisive blow, yet Tashiro was knocked back, bending his body into the flow so that his heels hit the wall and stopped him from being knocked over. He shook his wet hair away from his face. His tied up hair had come loose and fell across his brow. He was quite soaked, all the way through to his underwear. What a pain. "Very well." Was all the ronin said, as he pushed off the wall and walked towards the aquamancer. As he got closer, both his hands went to his belt, the sash where his bokken once rested. But as his hands drew back, glowing white light emanated from out of nowhere, as Tashiro conjured up his very soul into a pair of blades. A wakizashi in his left, a katana in his right. Both hands were still by his left. Left hand was extended, closed fist pointed up. His right hand stayed near his waist, closed fist down. His left hand made a sweeping slice, just out of reach so that the blade itself would go past his foe. But the right sword that follows just underneath and behind, would be just in range. The dulled blades were certainly ready to strike! But as his katana finished it's blow, his wakizashi turned and made a reverse cut back at Nero's eyes, as his katana swept up to come down in a straight attack at his foe's head! |
